Marketing & Outreach Officer [United Kingdom]


 

As the Marketing & Outreach Officer, your primary responsibility will be to promote the exhibition and its accompanying events. You will engage with diverse audiences, including hard-to-reach groups, to ensure they are aware of and can benefit from the exhibition. Your creativity and expertise will play a vital role in developing and implementing marketing strategies across various channels.

Job Type: Part-time (7 hours per week) can be across multiple days

Duration: 3rd July - 30th November

Job Requirements
- Background in marketing and outreach, preferably in the arts or cultural sector
- Strong design sensibility and an eye for aesthetics
- Proficiency in Canva or similar design software
- Well-connected within the Leicester area, with an extensive network of contacts
- Demonstrated ability to generate fresh and innovative ideas for promoting exhibitions and events
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Self-motivated, organised, and capable of working independently
- Passion for promoting inclusivity and embracing diversity

Job Responsibilities
- Promote the exhibition and events through social media platforms, Facebook groups, advertisements, flyers, posters, newspapers, magazines, and arrange radio and TV appearances
- Develop innovative marketing campaigns to engage target audiences effectively
- Create visually appealing promotional materials using Canva or similar design tools
- Collaborate with local partners, community organizations, and influencers to extend the exhibition's reach
- Conduct outreach activities to connect with communities and individuals who would benefit from the exhibition
- Monitor and analyse the effectiveness of marketing efforts, providing regular reports to the project team
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new marketing opportunities
- Support David with his own artist social media accounts, helping to come up with ideas and advice.
